ECC Team Notes

Daemen: The Wildcats went 1-0-1 last week, posting a 2-1 win at Staten Island and suffering a 3-2 loss to District of Columbia. Daemen was in contention for its first-ever ECC Tournament bid up until the last game of the year and finished with a 7-7-3 overall record and a 3-4-1 mark in the ECC. The seven wins tie the program record for most in a season, previously set in 2005, 2006, and 2017. Daemen's 10 conference points and fifth place finish is the highest for the Wildcats since joining the league. Senior Derek Bartlo closed out the year with 10 goals and 24 points, which both rank as program records for most in a season during Daemen's NCAA era (2015-present).

District of Columbia: UDC wrapped up the season with a 3-2 win over Daemen University.

D'Youville: No team notes submitted.

Mercy: The No. 14 Mercy College men's soccer team went 1-0-1 on the week with a win over Bridgeport and a tie against Roberts Wesleyan. The Mavericks were led by sophomore Eirik Elvestad who made seven saves. Mercy resumes action in the ECC Semifinals on Thursday, November 3rd at Queens at 7 p.m.

Queens: The Knights defeated CSI 4-0 to conclude the regular season with a program-best 13-5 record and 6-2 in conference play. Queens earned the No. 2 seed, the highest finish in program history.

Roberts Wesleyan: The Roberts men's soccer team tied No. 14 Mercy 1-1 on Saturday. The Redhawks earned the fourth seed in the ECC Championships and will travel to Molloy for the semifinal match.

Staten Island: Needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Dolphins hosted Daemen University on Wednesday. Despite a strong first half, the Dolphins failed to score, and after consecutive Wildcat goals, the Dolphins were unable to complete the comeback bid in a 2-1 defeat. Eliminated from playoff contention, the Dolphins then dropped their final match of the season on Saturday against Queens by a final score of 4-0.

St. Thomas Aquinas: St. Thomas Aquinas (6-6-4, 2-3-3 ECC) went 1-0-0 on the week, defeating D'Youville 3-1 to close out its 2022 schedule.
