ECC Volleyball Report - Week Seven

	Player of the Week Maggie Burns, Daemen (Fifth-Year Senior, OH - Louisville, Ky.) Burns was a major contributor for the Wildcats this week, posting 19 kills (3.17 kills per set) for a .298 hitting percentage and adding 14 digs (2.33 digs/set), five total blocks, 32 receptions, one ace and three assists on the week. Burns helped the Wildcats to a two win week with 3-0 victories over D'Youville and Saint Rose, extending their win streak to eight and nine wins.
	Defensive Player of the Week Jasmine Brundage, Daemen (Senior, LB - East Aurora, N.Y.) Brundage yet again led the Wildcats defensively on the week, totaling 35 digs to average 5.83 digs per set in Daemen's 2-0 week. Brundage played all six sets during the matches and finished with seven assists, two aces, one kill and 23 receptions with zero reception errors in the two matches. The Wildcats posted a pair of 3-0 sweeps over D'Youville and Saint Rose this week and extended their win streak to eight and nine matches with the victories.
	Setter of the Week Yarianne Gonzalez, Mercy (Senior, S - Manati, Puerto Rico) Gonzalez had a match-high 47 assists with five digs, four kills, two aces and one block in Mercy’s 3-1 win at St. Thomas Aquinas. The senior recorded her 2,000th career assist as a Maverick in the win.
	Rookie of the Week Charlotte Koerber, Daemen (Freshman, OH - Munich, Germany) Koerber totaled 23 kills (3.83 kills/set) for a .455 hitting percentage and added 19 digs (3.17 digs/set) over Daemen's 2-0 week. Koerber finished with 27 points over the two matches and added four aces, 17 receptions and three assists. She posted her ninth double-double in Thursday's 3-0 win over D'Youville with 11 kills and 11 digs. The Wildcats swept D'Youville and Saint Rose in a pair of 3-0 matches this week, extending their win streak to eight and nine straight.

ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Jaizahir Marrero-George, St. Thomas Aquinas (Junior, RS - Carolina, Puerto Rico)
Marrero-George recorded 18 kills and only 3 errors in 43 total attacks for the Spartans against Mercy. The STAC junior right side also picked up 4 digs and 2 blocks assists in the match. Jaizahir, the ECC leader in kills per set (4.49), was the only player to tally double digit kills (18) for the Spartans.

Julia Pomerleau, Mercy (Graduate Student, MB - Portland, Maine)
Pomerleau had a team-high 16 kills on .560 hitting with four blocks in Mercy's 3-1 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.

Caleigh Schroeder, Roberts Wesleyan (Sophomore, S - Maplewood, Minn.)
With 43 assists and 24 digs, Schroeder led Roberts Wesleyan to a 3-1 win over Saint Rose last week.

Larissa Schneid, Mercy (Senior, OH - São Paulo, Brazil)
Schneid had 11 kills and a team-high 14 digs with two blocks and an ace in Mercy's 3-1 win at St. Thomas Aquinas.
