Men's Runner of the Week
Jon Moote, Daemen (Senior - Wilson, N.Y.)
Moote shattered the program's 8k record at the Houghton Highlander Invitational on Saturday, setting a new record of 25:16.0 (5:05.0 average mile) to place third in a field of 151 runners. Moote shaved 14 seconds off the previous Daemen program 8k record (25:30.1) that he set at the 2022 Highlander Invitational and helped lead the Wildcats to a third-place team finish out of 11 teams.

Men's Rookie of the Week
CJ Johnson, Daemen (Freshman - Baltimore, Md.)
Johnson finished second on the team at the Houghton Highlander Invitational, placing fifth overall out of 151 runners to finish as the race’s top freshman with an 8k PR time of 25:42.6 (5:10.3 average mile). The Daemen rookie shaved 28.1 seconds off his previous 8k PR and helped the Wildcats to a third place-team finish out of 11 teams. 

Women's Runner of the Week
Hannah Thomas, Daemen (Fifth-Year Senior - Cheektowaga, N.Y.)
Thomas placed fifth out of 88 runners with a 6k PR time of 23:09.8 (6:12.7 average mile) at the Houghton Highlander Invitational on Saturday. The Daemen fifth-year shaved over a minute off her previous 6k personal record of 24:10.1, set at the 2022 NCAA Division II National Championships, to lead the Wildcats to a second-place team finish in a field of 10 squads.  

Women's Rookie of the Week
Zoe Merryman, St. Thomas Aquinas (Freshman - Mahwah, N.J.)
Merryman earned her second consecutive top-10 finish on Saturday, placing seventh in a field of 220 runners at the NJIT Highlander Invitational. The STAC rookie clocked in with a time of 19:09.4 (6:09.9 average mile) to help the Spartans to a sixth-place team finish out of 26 squads.
