ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Sarah Anderson, Queens (Junior, Midfielder - East Setauket, N.Y.)
Anderson helped the Knights to a 1-0-1 record last week as the Queens midfielder assisted on the match-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Goldey-Beacom and played the full 90 minutes in a scoreless draw vs. Staten Island.
Rachel Brownell, St. Thomas Aquinas (Senior, Midfielder - Blauvelt, N.Y.)
Brownell scored three goals in two matches for STAC, including a two-goal effort in the Spartans' victory over Lincoln. The senior midfielder leads STAC with five goals, which ranks second in the ECC.
Alyssa Diaz, Daemen (Junior, Forward - Rochester, N.Y.)
Diaz scored once and headed up a defense that limited Lincoln to just three total shots in Daemen's 5-0 win.
Julia Ragone, Queens (Junior, Forward - Centereach, N.Y.)
Ragone recorded another excellent week as the junior continues to lead from the front. Against Goldey-Beacom, Ragone tallied her third match-winner of the year as Queens defeated the Lightning, 2-0.
Sara Villacres, Staten Island (Junior, Goalkeeper - Richmond Hill, N.Y.)
Villacres saved four shots and did not allow a goal in CSI's scoreless draw against Queens. Combined with two goals allowed in a nine-save effort against Mercy, Villacres finished the week with an 86.7% save percentage, 13 saves, and one clean sheet.
