UDC Men's Tennis Concludes the 2022-23 Season

FLUSHING, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team concluded it's 2022-23 season, after defeating Daemen University 4-2, Friday morning at the QC Tennis Bubble. 

UDC took the early 1-0 lead after winning at No.1 and 3 doubles. Daemen then evened the score picking up th first singles victory at No.6.

Oskar Karos, and Player of the Year, Louis Mangeon defeated their opponents in two straight sets at the No.5 and 1 spots, to put the Firebirds up 3-1.

But the Wildcats did not make it easy for the Firebirds as they took the win at No.2.

Mauricio Corty clinched the winning point at No.3, forcing a tiebreaker, after falling to his opponent in the first set. He went to battle his way to a 7-5 third set victory to secure UDC's consolation victory.

The Firebirds conclude the season with a 6-12 record.
