ECC Volleyball Report - Week Six

	Player of the Week Maggie Burns, Daemen (Fifth-Year Senior, OH - Louisville, Ky.) Burns totaled 24 kills and 29 digs to average 2.67 kills per set and 3.22 digs per set in Daemen's undefeated 3-0 week in which the Wildcats shut out Post, 3-0, Mercy, 3-0, and St. Thomas Aquinas, 3-0. The Daemen senior posted her fifth double-double of the season, totaling 10 kills and 11 digs against the Mavericks, and added 36 receptions, six assists, three aces and two blocks to her stat line on the weekend. Burns is just 63 kills away from crossing the 1,000 career mark over her five year career.
	Defensive Player of the Week Jasmine Brundage, Daemen (Senior, LB - East Aurora, N.Y.) Brundage led the Wildcats defensively in all three wins last week, totaling 36 digs (4.0 digs/set) in Daemen's 3-0 weekend. The Daemen senior tallied double-digit digs throughout the weekend, moving her streak to 13 straight matches with 10+ digs, and added five aces, six assists, and 32 receptions without a reception error on the weekend.
	Setter of the Week Dunja Masic, Daemen (Senior, S - McHenry, Ill.) Masic ran the Wildcat offense to a perfect 3-0 weekend, totaling 100 assists (11.11 assists/set) while adding 10 digs, eight kills, seven aces and four total blocks. Masic directed the Wildcats to a 127-kill weekend as Daemen picked up a pair of ECC wins over Mercy and St. Thomas Aquinas and a non-conference victory over Post.
	Rookie of the Week Charlotte Koerber, Daemen (Freshman, OH - Munich, Germany) Koerber led the Wildcats on the weekend with 32 kills (4.0 kills/set) for a .475 hitting percentage over the three matches. The Daemen freshman added 22 digs, five aces, and 56 receptions to her stat line and posted a team-high 17 kills in Daemen's 3-0 win over Mercy with a season-high .533 hitting percentage.

ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Despina Boudouris, Queens (Junior, S - Athens, Greece)
On the week, Boudouris recorded 82 assists, 20 digs, and three service aces. In the 3-2 victory over Roberts Wesleyan, Boudouris recorded a program- and career-best 56-assist performance to go with 15 digs as the Queens junior tallied her ninth double-double of the year.

Chye Davis, Molloy (Senior, MB - Houston, Texas)
Davis attacked at a .462 clip over three matches for the Lions last week. The Molloy senior put up a season-high 17 kills and added five blocks and four digs against Roberts Wesleyan after recording five blocks earlier in the week at home against Queens. On the week, Davis averaged over one block per set to go with 2.55 kills per set.

Mariana Donado Yepes, Molloy (Senior, S)
Totaling 93 assists, Donado Yepes averaged 9.30 assists/set and 2.10 digs/set in a 2-1 week for Molloy. The graduate student had a double-double against Roberts Wesleyan with 45 assists and 15 digs while adding three kills and two aces. She topped 40 assists again with 40 against Queens and fired off another two aces.

Christina Franco, Queens (Junior, OH - Lynbrook, N.Y.)
On the week, Franco recorded 30 kills, 25 digs, four blocks, and two service aces. In the 3-2 victory over Roberts Wesleyan, Franco recorded a career-high 23 kills by hitting a scorching .340 to go with 17 digs, three service aces, and three blocks.

Jaizahir Marrero-George, St. Thomas Aquinas (Junior, RS - Carolina, Puerto Rico)
Marrero-George recorded 37 kills, 16 digs and 9 block assists over two matches last week for St. Thomas Aquinas. In the Spartans' 3-1 victory over D'Youville, which marked the first ECC victory in STAC women's volleyball program history, the junior right-side posted 23 kills, 12 digs and 5 block assists.

Sarah Munn, Queens (Sophomore, LS - Torrance, Calif.)
Munn recorded a program -and career-best 31 digs to go with five assists and one service in the 3-2 victory over Roberts Wesleyan. After the conclusion of the first set, Munn had two digs before putting on a defensive clinic to finish with 29 in the next four sets as Queens earned their fourth ECC victory of the year.

Larissa Schneid, Mercy (Senior, OH - Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Schneid had a team-high 25 kills and 21 digs with three aces as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The Mercy senior had a team-high 10 kills to go along with nine digs and two aces against first-place Daemen on Saturday and ended the week with 15 kills and a match-high 12 digs in the win over D'Youville.

Sydney Yanak, Roberts Wesleyan (Junior, OH - Avon, Ohio)
Yanak recorded 32 kills and 25 digs last week, which included 22 kills and 12 digs in Roberts Wesleyan's 3-2 win over Molloy.
