ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week Two

Co-Bowler of the Week
Mollie Gizicki, Daemen (Senior - Brighton, Mich.)
Gizicki was named to the Grapevine Classic All-Tournament Team after placing third among all bowlers during the traditional round with 1,000 total pins and a 200.0 average. The Daemen senior rolled a 241 during a win over William Smith, recorded an overall fill percentage of 84.0 in team play, and recorded a team-high 40 strikes in Baker and team play.

Co-Bowler of the Week
Chloe Sromovski, Kutztown (Senior, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.)
Sromovski led the way as Kutztown registered a 7-2 record and sixth-place finish at last weekend’s Bud Whitman Memorial. The senior earned All-Tournament Team honors after posting a 200.0 average in traditional play on Saturday. She rolled a 192 or higher in all five games, including a best game of 210 in the opener and a 202 in KU’s third match of the day. Sromovski finished fourth in the individual standings and recorded an overall fill percentage of 84.0 in team play. In Sunday’s Baker format matches, Sromovski topped the Golden Bears with a 19.32 frame average and 78% overall fill percentage while completing all 50 frames.

Rookie of the Week
Cassidy Papero, Daemen (Freshman - Cheektowaga, N.Y.)
Papero was named to the Grapevine Classic All-Tournament Team after placing second among all bowlers during the traditional round with 1,010 total pins and a 202.0 average. The Daemen freshman rolled a 222 during a win over Roberts Wesleyan, had a team-high overall fill percentage of 86.0 in team play, and recorded 33 strikes in Baker and team play. Papero also led the team with 20.20 pins per frame average in team play.

 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Arianna Clouse, Mercyhurst (Senior, Vine Grove, Ky.)
Clouse averaged over 19 pins per frame in both baker and team games at the MOTIV Penguin Classic, totaling 58 strikes with 41 coming in baker games. The Mercyhurst senior had an overall fill percentage of 78 or higher in both formats. 

Madison Gentes, Saint Anselm (Junior, Goffstown, N.H.)
Goulet posted a 171.4 average on day one of the Bud Whitman Memorial en route to a 17.63 pins per frame average for the weekend.

Olivia Hillman, Bryant (Sophomore - Attleboro, Mass.)
Hillman helped the Bulldogs defeat nationally-ranked Central Missouri and Morgan State while finishing 23rd overall in the individual standings at the Penguin Classic.

Makayla Pasierb, D’Youville (Junior - Dunkirk, N.Y.)
Pasierb finished eighth in a field of 66 bowlers at the Grapevine Classic.
