Men's Runner of the Week
Jon Moote, Daemen (Senior - Wilson, N.Y.)
Moote won the Daemen Alumni Invitational 8k this weekend with a first-place time of 27:33.0 in a field of 28 runners. Paced by a 5:32.5 average mile, the senior was the first of nine consecutive Daemen runners to finish in the race and helped the Wildcats to a perfect 15 team points for their second-straight first-place finish. The Wildcats have won back-to-back races for the first time since 2011.

Men's Co-Rookie of the Week
CJ Johnson, Daemen (Freshman - Baltimore, Md.)
Johnson finished his first career 8k with a third-place time of 27:49.8 at the Daemen Alumni Invitational. Paced by a 5:35.9 mile average, Johnson was the third of nine straight Daemen runners to cross the finish line, and after placing the top five runners in the race, the Wildcats finished with a perfect 15 team points. With his third-place finish out of 28 runners, Johnson finished in the top-11 percent of the field.

Men's Co-Rookie of the Week
Peter Bagattine, Molloy (Freshman - Bay Shore, N.Y.)
Bagattine placed 14th out of 132 runners to place in the top-11 percent of the field at the Osprey Open. Paced by a 5:24.6 mile average, Bagattine finished his first collegiate 8k in 26:53.85 to become the top freshman finisher in the race and lead the Lions to a sixth-place team finish.

Women's Runner of the Week
Hannah Thomas, Daemen (Fifth-Year - Cheektowaga, N.Y.)
Thomas crossed in third at the Daemen Alumni Invitational with a 5k PR time of 19:28.9 and helped the Wildcats to a first-place team finish for the first time this season. Thomas was the first current Wildcat runner to cross the finish line, trailing only 2022 ECC Runner of the Year Kassandra Nolet and former Daemen standout Mackenzie Donahue in the race to finish in the top-15 percent of the field (3rd/19).

Women's Rookie of the Week
Kathleen Healy, Molloy (Sophomore - Malverne, N.Y.)
Healy placed eighth in a field of 133 runners at the Osprey Invite, clocking in with a time of 24:06.99 in her first collegiate 6k. Paced by a 6:28.1 average mile and a finish that put her in the top-six percentage of her field, Healy led the Lions to a top-ten team finish.
