ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week 13

Bowler of the Week
Chloe Sromovski, Kutztown (Jr - Wilkes-Barre, Pa.)
Kutztown junior Chloe Sromovski won tournament MVP honors and earned a spot on the all-tournament team after leading the field with a 216.6 traditional average at last weekend's Northeast Roundup in New Castle, Del. Sromovski was on it from the start, rolling a 201 to lead the Golden Bears past host Wilmington (Del.), 834-782, in their first match and a 203 to top Molloy, 910-829, in their second. She was at her best in a win over No. 18 Mount St. Mary's, bowling a 267 as the Golden Bears surpassed the 1000-pin mark in a commanding 1008-825 triumph. Sromovski showed the way again with a 232 in a loss to Chestnut Hill, as KU finished one win shy of a Saturday sweep. Sromovski, a Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native, scored 1,083 over five games for a tournament-best 216.6 average, edging Fairleigh Dickinson's Julianna Spina (215.4) by six pins. On Sunday, Sromovski put up a 19.38 Baker average as the Bears knocked off No. 23 Merrimack on their way to a sixth-place team finish. Overall, Sromovski led the ECC with a 20.50 frame average on the week. 

Rookie of the Week
Jenna Stretch, Mercyhurst (Fr - Auburn Township, Ohio)
Stretch finished the week with a 19.09 frame average, good for third in the ECC. She ranked fifth in the conference with a 42.5 strike percentage and also compiled a fill percentage of 82.5


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Laura Clark, Bryant (Fr - Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.)
Clark helped the bulldogs to an eighth place finish with a strong showing on Saturday. She finished eighth overall individually with a 966 total pinfall or 193.20 average for five games. She also had an overall fill percentage of 88 percent on Saturday, with a 90 percent single-pin spare conversion percentage.

Haley Youker, Mercyhurst (Gr - East Syracuse, N.Y.)
Finished her weekend in the Northeast Roundup third in individuals - Bowled for an average of 206.8 per game - Bowled five games with a total of 1,034 pins knocked down - Knocked down 200 or more pins in four of her games with a high of 267 in game three - Also led the conference with a 20.68 Baker average and 57.0 strike percentage last week
