ECC Women's Bowling Report - Week Six

Bowler of the Week
Haley Youker, Mercyhurst (Gr - East Syracuse, N.Y.)
Youker led the ECC in frame average last week by 0.66 pins per frame (18.58 overall). She also topped the conference in Baker frame average (18.35) and fill percentage (80.6), while ranking second with a 37.4 strike percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Olivia Hillman, Bryant (Fr - Attleboro, Mass.)
Hillman compiled a 17.58 frame average, good for third in the ECC last week, to help the Bulldogs with a solid 6-2 record at the CSU Lady Eagles Invite. She finished sixth overall individually with a total pinfall of 913 and an average of 182.60, missing the All-Tournament Team by one pin. She helped her team secure a win in a roll-off on Saturday against the eventual tournament winner Coppin State by filling the frame in the anchor position. On Sunday, Olivia posted a baker average of 16.82 and helped her team secure two wins against Saint Anselm.

ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Ruth Magana, Saint Anselm (Jr - Federal Way, Wash.)
Magana was recognized for producing the tournament's individual high score at the Lady Eagles Invitational. Out of all the traditional matches, Magana's 246 against Chestnut Hill on Saturday was the highest total posted by any competing bowler at the two-day event. She averaged a 168.2, placing 15th in a crowded field at the event.

ECC Team Notes

	Adelphi: The Adelphi University women's bowling team is now idle until the New Year, when the Panthers will compete at the Northeast Classic from Jan. 20-22 in Deptford, N.J.
	Bryant: The Bulldogs wrapped up their first semester in their inaugural season at the CSU Lady Eagles Invite in Gwynn Oaks, MD. A 9th overall finish and a 6-2 record for the weekend ends the first semester on a positive. We resume competition at the Northeast Classic in January.
	Daemen: Daemen (27-11) capped the Fall portion of its 2022-23 season by sweeping all three games of a dual match against Roberts Wesleyan back on Nov. 13. The Wildcats are now idle until Februrary.

	Saint Anselm: Saint Anselm picked up its first two victories in program history, defeating Virginia State twice at the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational this past weekend...Junior Ruth Magana's 246 against Chestnut Hill on Saturday was the highest total posted by any competing bowler at the two-day event...Against Virginia State in the first championship match, the Hawks cruised to a 4-0 victory (180-72, 141-97, 148-101, 154-77). Each of the team's two victories on the season has come at the expense of the Trojans...Magana placed 15th as an individual while sophomore Madison Gentes was 19th in the field.
	St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Bowling team will return to action at the William Paterson University Northeast Classic on December 3 at Lodi Lanes.
