Bowler of the Week
Samantha Strebel, Mercyhurst (Sr - Harrisville, Utah)
Strebel, the ECC Preseason Bowler of the Year, finished first in traditional format at the Mercyhurst Invitational with a five-game average of 211.0. She also compiled a 20.04 overall frame average and led the league with an 86.5 fill frame percentage to help lead Mercyhurst to the team championship in their own invitational.

Rookie of the Week
Emily Kulkarni, Molloy (Fr - Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.)
Kulkarni had the fifth-highest overall frame average (18.94) and Baker frame average (19.59) in the ECC last week. She also had a team match single-game high of 220 in her first collegiate match to propel Molloy past Wilmington.

ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Bryanna McKeee, D'Youville (Fr - Niagara Falls, N.Y.)
McKee had the highest average on the team in traditional format (174.4) putting her in 12th place at the Mercyhurst Invitational.

Caitlyn Nowak, Daemen (Sr - West Seneca, N.Y.)
Led Daemen to a third-place finish at the season-opening Mercyhurst Invitational. Averaged a team-best 191.6 during the five traditional matches on day one. Rolled a team-high 214 during a 942-736 win over Roberts Wesleyan.

Hannah Skalacki, Molloy (So - Coram, N.Y.)
Placed ninth in individuals in the Bud Whitman Memorial averaging, 191.6. Doubled in the 10th frame to secure win against No. 11 Mount Saint Mary's. Converted a 4-7-10 in 10th frame to clinch match victory over No. 12 Delaware State.

ECC Team Notes

	Adelphi: Adelphi did not compete this week. The Panthers' quest for an ECC Championship begins next weekend (Oct. 15-16) in Fairfield, Conn. at the Sacred Heart University Bowl for a Cure.

	Daemen: Daemen (7-3) women's bowling team opened the 2022-23 season at the Mercyhurst Invitational in Erie, Pa. this past weekend. The Wildcats won seven of 10 matches and placed third out of eight teams. Three of Daemen's seven wins came over Medaille, which is ranked 10th nationally in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) DII/DIII Preseason Poll. The Wildcats will be idle this weekend and return to action the weekend of Oct. 22-23 when they return to Erie, Pa. to take part in the Grapevine Classic hosted by Penn State Behrend.
