ECC Team Notes

Adelphi: The long-awaited head coaching debut for Arthur O'Connor came this weekend for the Adelphi University women's bowling team at the Northeast Classic -- hosted by Sacred Heart University -- at Deptford Lanes. With four Top 25 teams on the docket, the Panthers gained critical experience towards competing for an ECC Championship in March. Adelphi consistently averaged a 700 series across its five Baker and five traditional matches. The Brown and Gold's high series was an 817 against Wagner College. Senior Kristen Derr kicked off the traditional slate with back-to-back 200 games and averaged a season-high 200.4 across the five matches. Junior Blanca Fraticelli had the high game on the weekend, impressively rolling a 235 in a nailbiting 793-789 loss to Chestnut Hill. Both new additions to the roster, Morgan Sapinski and Lydia Fraga Cordoba saw their first collegiate action at the tournament. O'Connor and the Panthers will make a visit to Hailey Spencer's backyard of Dallas, Texas for the Lady Techsters Classic from Feb. 10-12.

Bryant: The Bulldogs returned for the second half of their inaugural season at the Northeast Classic in Deptford, NJ. The largest tournament of the year saw a stacked schedule for the bulldogs, with a solid finish in 27th for the weekend. We return to NJ this weekend for the Garden State Classic hosted by Monmouth.

Daemen: Daemen (29-22) opened the 2023 portion of its schedule by taking part in the Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic, Jan. 8-10. The tournament featured 10 nationally-ranked programs and 10 of Daemen's 13 matches during the event were against nationally-ranked teams. The Wildcats posted a win over No. 15 Mount St. Mary's and placed 12th overall. The Wildcats are idle until Feb. 10-11 when they head to Labrobe, Pa. to face Saint Vincent in a dual match and will also take part in the Brother Patrick Lacey Memorial Tournament.
