ECC Men's Lacrosse Report - Week Eight

Offensive Player of the Week
Reid Jackowski, Roberts Wesleyan (Sr, A - Syracuse, N.Y.)
Jackowski led the Redhawks to an ECC victory over UDC with an 11-point performance. He tallied four goals and dished off an ECC season-high seven assists. Jackowski added two ground balls and two caused turnovers on the afternoon.

Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan O'Neill, Molloy (Sr, D - Bethpage, N.Y.)
O'Neill had five ground balls and forced four turnovers in Molloy's 11-7 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Rookie of the Week
Thomas Kofod, Molloy (Fr, LSM - Seaford, N.Y.)
Kofod picked up four ground balls and forced two turnovers in Molloy's win over STAC while adding one assist.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Jake Bowman, Frostburg St. (Sr, M - Clarence Center, NY)
Bowman had nine points on six goals and three assists over two games last week. He began the week with six points (3 G, 3 A) in a narrow loss to Seton Hill, before adding three goals in a win over D'Youville. Bowman added three ground balls and two caused turnovers on the week. 

Jonathan Farley, St. Thomas Aquinas (Sr, A - Pearl River, N.Y.)
Farley tallied four goals on five shots and added an assist in two games last week for STAC. The senior attackman netted three of those goals in the Spartans 10-7 victory over Dominican.

Adam Hyman, Molloy (Jr, M - Coram, N.Y.)
Hyman netted five points on two goals and three assists in Molloy's win over Saint Thomas Aquinas. The midfielder also added two ground balls and forced one turnover.

Seamus Kearney, Frostburg St. (So, D - Mt. Airy, Md.)
Kearney recorded eight ground balls and five caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Bobcats.

ECC Team Notes

Dist. Columbia: UDC fell to Roberts Wesleyan on the road. They will head to Buffalo to face off against D'Youville next Saturday.

D'Youville: No team notes submitted.

Frostburg St.: No team notes submitted.

Mercy: The No. 2/4 Mercy College men's lacrosse team went 0-1 on the week with a loss to No. 6/7 Mercyhurst on Saturday. The Mavericks were led by graduate student Jack Gibbons and senior TJ Heyder who each had a team-high three goals. Mercy resumes action on Friday when they host Frostburg State at 1 p.m.

Molloy: No team notes submitted.

Roberts Wesleyan: Roberts got its second conference win of the season with a win over UDC. The Redhawks are 7-3 and will host Molloy on Saturday.

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team (4-6, 0-3 ECC) went 1-1 on the week, first beating Dominican 10-7 and then falling to Molloy 11-7. STAC returns to action at D'Youville on April 15.
