ECC Men's Lacrosse Report - Week Three

Offensive Player of the Week
Reid Jackowski, Roberts Wesleyan (Sr, A - Syracuse, N.Y.)
Jackowski piled up 14 points last week with seven goals and seven assists in two Redhawks' wins. He began the week with a nine point performance that included four goals and five assists in a win over Davenport. He followed with five more points on three goals and two assists in a win over Davis & Elkins. 

Defensive Player of the Week
Christian Michaels, Molloy (So, GK - Smithtown, N.Y.)
Michaels made 23 stops in a 2-0 week in the cage for the Lions. The sophomore had double-digit stops in Molloy's wins over Franklin Pierce and Walsh and tallied a save percentage of 67.6 percent and a goals against average of 5.60.

Rookie of the Week
Stefano Evan, D'Youville (Fr, A - Vestal, N.Y.)
Evan scored six goals and added one assist for seven points that helped lead D'Youville to the program's first-ever win over Dominican. He also tallied two ground balls and one caused turnover on the afternoon.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Luke Delavak, Roberts Wesleyan (Jr, LSM - Rush, N.Y.)
Delavak helped the Redhawks to a pair of wins last week with 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers.

Brady Kearnan, Mercy (Sr, A - Courtice, Ontario)
Kearnan had a game-high seven points on four goals and three assists with two ground balls in Mercy's win over Georgian Court on Wednesday. The senior recorded his 100th career goal as a Maverick in the win.

Jason Kuehner, Mercy (Jr, FO - Hackettstown, N.J.)
Kuehner went 19-of-24 on faceoffs with a game-high six ground balls to go along with a caused turnover in Mercy's win over Georgian Court on Wednesday.

Sean Plasencia, Molloy (Sr, A - West Hempstead, N.Y.)
Plasencia led the Molloy offense to open the season, scoring a team-leading eight points on a team-high four goals and three assists. The senior netted four goals against Franklin Pierce, including two on the man-up. He also picked up seven ground balls on the week.

Mercy: The No. 6 Mercy College men's lacrosse team went 1-0 on the week with an 18-8 win over Georgian Court on Wednesday. The Mavericks were led by senior Brady Kearnan who had a team-high seven points. Mercy resumes action on Saturday, March 4th when they host Seton Hill at 11 a.m.

Molloy: Molloy opened the season 2-0 with wins over Franklin Pierce and Walsh. The Lions will play at Pace on Wednesday (Mar. 1) and home against Southern New Hampshire on Saturday (Mar. 4).

Roberts Wesleyan: Roberts Wesleyan went 2-0 last week with a 17-14 win over Davenport and a 22-10 win over Davis & Elkins. The Redhawks are 3-1 to start the season and will host Assumption on Saturday at 11 a.m.

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team (0-1) had the week off and will return to action on March 1 (7:00 p.m.) at Felician and March 5 (12:00 p.m.) at Bridgeport.
