ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Joey Atkins, Daemen (Sr, G/F - Watervliet, N.Y.)
Led the Wildcats to an 87-57 win over Clarion in their lone game last week. Totaled 14 points, five rebounds, two blocks, and a steal.
Jamal Barnes, St. Thomas Aquinas (Jr, G - Temple Hills, Md.)
Barnes averaged 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in two contests last week. The junior guard recorded 23 points, four rebounds and three steals against Assumption, before posting a 13-point, three-rebound effort versus Pace.
Rian Carter, Roberts Wesleyan (Gr, G - Rochester, N.Y.)
Carter averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Redhawks. His best outing came in an ECC win over Molloy in which he tallied 22 points on 8-for-12 shooting that included hitting 4-of-7 from behind the arc.
Jahmir Marable-Williams, Dist. Columbia (Sr, G - Philadelphia, Pa.)
Marable-Williams stuffed the stat sheet in the Firebirds' lone game of the week. He posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 assists. He shot at 63.6 percent from the field while also grabbing four rebounds and three steals.

Daemen: Daemen (5-5, 1-3 ECC) played just one game last week, posting an 87-57 win over Clarion. The Wildcats were scheduled to play Assumption Saturday (12/17), but the game was postponed due to weather. That game will now be played Monday, Jan. 9 at Daemen. After shooting just 33-percent (47-143) from the field overall and making just 5-of-41 three-pointers during back-to-back losses to Molloy and Queens, the Wildcats have shot over 50-percent from the field overall and have canned 35-of-73 (48%) three-point attempts over the last three games. Daemen plays one game this week, as the Wildcats travel to Pace Monday (12/19) for a non-league game. Both teams are currently ranked in the D2SIDA East Region media poll. |

District of Columbia: UDC dropped their lone game of the week, falling to Wilmington (Del) 80-86 on the road. Next Up they will host Holy Family on Monday in a non-conference match up. |

Mercy: The Mercy College men's basketball team went 0-1 on the week with a loss to Saint Michael's. The Mavericks were led by graduate student Sean Smith Jr. who had a team-high 14 points. Mercy resumes action on December 29th when they play at Southern Connecticut State at 3:30 p.m. |

Molloy: Molloy went 1-1 on the week, defeating Holy Family in non-conference action, 78-69, before suffering its first loss in league play at Roberts Wesleyan, 83-76. The Lions will conclude the 2022 calendar year at the University of New Haven on December 29 at 7:00 p.m. |

Queens: Men’s Basketball fell to Saint Rose in their lone game of the week as the late comeback fell short. The Knights conclude the fall semester with a non-conference game Monday evening as Saint Michael’s come to town. |

Roberts Wesleyan: Roberts went 1-1 last week with a non-conference loss to Mercyhurst, 88-50, and a home ECC win over Molloy, 83-76. The Redhawks are 4-7 overall and 2-1 in the ECC. After returning from the break Roberts will head to Mercy on Jan. 6 to play Mercy. |

Staten Island: The Dolphins went 0-2 this week in non-conference competition losing to Alliance on Wednesday and to Georgian Court on Saturday. In Wednesday's game, JJ Chestnut had 17 points and nine assists, but the Dolphins could not overcome foul trouble and a large first-half deficit in the loss. On Saturday, 20 points and 12 rebounds from Messiah Mallory wasn't enough to close out the Lions who beat the Dolphins behind a 14-0 run in the closing minutes of the GCU win. |

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team (10-2, 4-0 ECC) went 1-1 last week, splitting a pair of home contests against Assumption (Win, 72-58) and Pace (Loss, 79-77) STAC will next be in action on December 19 (3:00 p.m.) vs. Saint Rose. |
