ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Gregory DiGiaro, St. Thomas Aquinas (Sr, IF - Staten Island, N.Y.)
DiGiaro hit .316, with six hits in 19 at-bats over three games for the Spartans. The senior infielder also hit three home runs, while collecting 11 RBIs and scoring 8 runs.
Anthony Fontana, Queens (Sr, 1B/DH - Wantagh, N.Y.)
Over four games, Fontana batted .471 with a .647 slugging percentage on eight hits, three doubles, four RBI, two runs scored, and earned two walks. Against CSI, the senior recorded three multi-hit games including his third three-hit performance in the 10-9 comeback victory on Friday before he added his second three-RBI performance in the 15-5 victory over the Dolphins and concluded the week with two doubles in the nightcap. In the field, the senior recorded 26 putouts with six doubles play.
Nolan Giblin, Mercy (Sr, 3B - Syracuse, N.Y.)
Giblin hit a team-high .538 (7-for-13) with two runs, two doubles and an RBI. The senior went 2-for-5 against Molloy on Friday and went 5-for-8 with two runs, two doubles, a triple and an RBI in the doubleheader against Molloy on Sunday.z
Garrett Scavelli, Molloy (Jr, OF - Franklin Square, N.Y.)
Scavelli continued to stay red hot at the plate batting out of the second spot of the lineup. The junior totaled two or more hits in three of four games played this week, including three doubles and three RBIs against New Haven. On the week, the outfielder hit .471, collecting eight hits, seven runs, five extra-base hits, and five RBIs while slugging .824.

Molloy: The Lions went 3-1 on the week, opening conference play with three wins over Mercy. Molloy now sits at 15-8 overall and 3-0 in league play, they will conclude the four-game series with Mercy tomorrow, March 27 before heading to Goldey-Beacom Wednesday (Mar. 29) and beginning a four-game series with the College of Staten Island Friday (Mar. 31). |

Queens: The Knights went 3-1 on the week earning a crucial 5-4 victory over Adelphi in non-conference play before opening East Coast Conference play with a 2-1 victory including a comeback 10-9 victory over College of Staten Island Friday afternoon. Conference play continues in a packed week for Queens as they get set to play six games. The CSI series concludes Monday in Flushing before Felician comes to town Thursday and the week concludes with two doubleheaders against Southern Connecticut State on Saturday in New Haven and in Flushing. |

Staten Island: The Dolphins played three games against Queens this week including a 10-9 loss on Friday and a split of Sunday's doubleheader. After losing game one 15-5, the Dolphins won game two 3-1 behind a complete game, 10-strikeout effort from starting pitcher John Esposito. |

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team (9-11, 3-1 ECC) went 3-2 last week, taking three of four against (20-8, 8-5, 9-8). STAC returns to action on March 29 against Pace (3:30 p.m.), before heading taking on Mercy, March 31- April 2. |
