ECC Cross Country Report - Week Four

Men's Runner of the Week
Andrew Drescher, St. Thomas Aquinas (Sr - Duanesburg, N.Y.)
Drescher continued his outstanding season with a sixth place finish in the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational, recording a time of 26:53.3. Drescher's finish helped to lead STAC to a second place team finish.

Women's Runner of the Week
Skylar Moreno, St. Thomas Aquinas (Gr - Congers, N.Y.)
Moreno continued to excel on the race course with a third place finish in the St. Joseph's University Golden Eagle Invitational, recording a time of 19:38.7. Moreno's finish helped to lead STAC to a team victory.


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Zachary Hall, Roberts Wesleyan (So - Oakfield, N.Y.)
Hall finished 85th out of 416 runners in the extremely competitive Live in Lou Classic hosted by the University of Louisville. He crossed the line in a time of 25:33.8. 

Aiden Watson, Molloy (So - Levittown, N.Y.)

Watson ran to a personal-best 8K time of 26:28.2 at the Paul Short Invitational, leading all Molloy runners and good for a 54th place finish out of 338 runners.

ECC Team Notes

Daemen: The Daemen University men's and women's cross country teams were off this weekend. They resume action on Saturday in Houghton, N.Y. to race in the Highlander Invitational.

District of Columbia: UDC competed at the Don Cathcart Invitational in the 6k. Multiple Firebirds ran personal bests. They will head to Baltimore on Saturday to compete at the Salisbury Invite.

D'Youville: No team notes submitted.

Molloy: The Lions ran at the Paul Short Invitational, with the men finishing 20th and the women finishing 33rd. The return to action on Saturday (Oct. 8) at the NJIT Highlander XC Challenge in Newark, N.J.

Queens: The Knights were off as the QCC Invitational was canceled due to weather conditions. Queens will take part in the NJIT Highlander Challenge Saturday morning.

Roberts Wesleyan: The Roberts cross country teams ran at the 21st annual Live in Lou Classic in Louisville, Ky. The Redhawks will compete again on Oct. 15 at the Canisius Alumni Classic.

Staten Island: No team notes submitted.

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Cross Country team competed at the St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational on Friday, with the Women's team placing first and the men finished second. Skylar Moreno (3rd place) and Andrew Drescher (6th place) were the top finishers for the Spartans. STAC returns to action on October 8 (11:00 a.m) at the NJIT Highlander Challenge.
