ECC Cross Country Report - Week One

	Men's Runner of the Week Jon Moote, Daemen (Jr - Wilson, N.Y.) Moote picked up his second career top-10 finish, placing fourth overall in the field of 81 runners at the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational with a time of 21:12.3 over the 6K race. He helped the Wildcats to their highest team finish since the Daemen Duels on Sept. 11, 2021, when they also finished second overall.
	Women's Runner of the Week Marcy Colca, Daemen (So - Getzville, N.Y.) Colca notched her second collegiate first-place finish at the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational on Saturday, posting a time of 15:32.2 in the 4K race. Colca helped lead the Wildcats to a first-place team finish in a field of seven teams.
	Women's Rookie of the Week Patsy Oberholzer, Daemen (Fr - Greece, N.Y.) Oberholzer shined in her collegiate debut at the Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational, finishing fourth out of 66 runners in the 4K race with a time of 16:04.1 behind three of her Wildcat teammates, and helping the Daemen women to a first-place finish in the race.

Njehan Phillip, Queens (Gr - Brooklyn, N.Y.)
Phillip earned a top 10 finish as the Brooklyn native finished ninth with a time of 27:17.4 at the Adelphi Panther XC Invite.

Women
Alexis Hall, Queens (Jr - West River, Md.)
Hall earned a top 20 finish as she completed the course at the Adelphi Panther XC Invite in 22:19.8 for a 15th place finish. Hall bested her 2021 finish of 22:55.1 on Friday.

ECC Team Notes

	Daemen: No team notes submitted.
	District of Columbia: The Firebirds opened their season on Thursday with a 5k at Goucher College then ran a 6k at the Salisbury Fall Classic on Saturday. They are idle this week but will be back in action on the 16th when they travel to Delaware to compete at Goldey-Beacom.
	D'Youville: Cross country kicks off their 2022 season at the Daemen Duals on Saturday, Sept. 10.
	Molloy: No team notes submitted.
	Queens: The men's and women's cross country opened the 2022 season competing in the Panthers XC Invite. On the men's side, the Knights finished 10th overall and sixth among Division II opponents. While the women's team finished 7th overall, and fifth against DII opponents. The Knights are off until Sept. 25 as they compete in the MSMC Invitational.
	Roberts Wesleyan: The Roberts Wesleyan cross country team had its first meet of the season at the Houghton Highlander Short Course race. The Redhawks will compete again on Sept. 24 in the annual Harry F. Anderson Invitational.
	Staten Island: No team notrs submitted.
	St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Cross Country team opens its 2022 campaign on September 10 at the SUNY Purchase College Invitational in Purchase, N.Y.
