ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Marcy Colca, Daemen (Fr - Getzville, N.Y.)
Led Daemen to their third first-place finish of the season by placing ninth at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh... recorded a time of 22:45.7 in her first collegiate 6K race.
Kaitlyn Mohr, Molloy (Fr - Rockville Centre, N.Y.)
Mohr finished seventh out of 263 runners at the Paul Short Invitational. In addition, the Rockville Centre native broke the Molloy 6k school record by 34 seconds, running a time of 22:40.3.
Kassandra Nolet, Daemen (R-Sr - Fort Erie, Ont.)
Led Daemen to their third first-place finish of the season by placing fifth at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh... shaved nearly a minute-and-a-half off her previous career-best 6K time (23:59.2) which she set at the 2019 regional championship meet... third top-10 finish of the season... has been Daemen's top finisher in nine of the last 10 races.

Bridgeport: The University of Bridgeport cross country team teams took part in the NJIT Highlander Invitation on Saturday morning at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey. The UB men finished 26th out of a large 29 team field, and the UB women did not finish with a team score, as they did not have six finishers. In the women's race, junior Alexandra Toth (Sandy Hook, Conn.) was the first Purple Knights finisher in a time of 22:51.55 which put her in 108th place In the men's 8K race, the top finisher for the Purple Knights was junior D'Andre Collins (Newark, N.J.), who took 159th place in a time of 34:33.47 in his hometown. Up next, the UB cross country teams compete at Mt. St. Mary's (NY) for the third time this season. |

Daemen: The Daemen women's cross country team put forth another attention-grabbing performance last week as the Wildcats ran to a first-place finish in the Women's Collegiate White Race at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh. It marked the third race victory of the season for the Wildcats who were paced by redshirt senior Kassandra Nolet and freshman Marcy Colca who each earned top-10 finishes. The Daemen men placed 16th out of 26 competing teams in their race at the Paul Short Run, one of the most prestigious collegiate cross country meets in the nation. Daemen is idle until Oct. 16 when they participate in the Canisius Alumni Classic. |

District of Columbia: The Firebirds will head to Towson, Md. next Saturday, October 9, to compete in their second 6k of the season. |

D'Youville: Saints finished 31st of 33 teams at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday ... Henry Smith was the top finisher for the Saints for the fourth time this season ... Hannah Kennedy once again led the way for the Saints ... The sophomore has been the top finisher for the Saints in all four races this year ... |

Roberts Wesleyan: The Roberts Wesleyan cross country teams ran at the Live in Lou Classic in Louisville, Ky. The next race on the schedule is the R.K. Munsey Invitational on Oct. 15 hosted by the University of Albany. |

Staten Island: The College of Staten Island Men's and Women's Cross-Country squads both competed in today's NJIT Challenge, a meet highlighted by several personal-best performances from members of both teams. On the women's side, all eight CSI runners finished with four of their eight competitors achieving the best time of their collegiate careers. Four men achieved personal-best times as well and the team finished 15th out of the 27 men's programs competing. The Dolphins are not back in action until Oct 16h when they are in the St. Joseph's Invite. |

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Cross Country team finished sixth, while the women's squad scored a fourth place finish in the NJIT Highlander Challenge last weekend. Abagaile Kimbrell finished third overall in a time of 18:08.29 for the women's squad, while Daniel Agostinho-Vides finished 18th overall in a time of 26:37.59 on the men's side. The Spartans will next compete in the St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational at Bethpage State Park on October 10 at 11 a.m. |
