Amaia Balaguer Brau, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fr - Benicarlo, Spain)
Amaia Balaguer Brau went 2-0 in her first two singles matches for STAC, beating her opponents from New Haven and Daemen in the No. 5 and No. 4 positions, respectively.
Maja Makal, Queens (Sr - Bialystok, Poland)
Makal picked off where she left last season as Poland native went 3-0 on the week. She started the fall season with a 2-0 record winning both matches on Friday against Daemen. At No. 1 doubles with teammate Gabriela Sciarrotta, the duo picked up a 6-1 victory before Makal closed out the day with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 1 single over Rubio. On Saturday, the Poland native went 1-0 with a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles and was given the day off in singles play.

Niggemeier won both her singles and doubles matches against New Haven. The junior came from behind in singles, dropping the first set 7-5 before taking the next two, 6-3 and 10-7.

Sophomore Kitsa Scime suffered her first two singles losses of the year last week and now stands at 4-2 in singles play on the year. The Wildcats head back to Flushing, N.Y. this week to take part in the ITA East Region Championships. |

Molloy: Molloy fell 5-2 to the University of New Haven. Junior Hannah Niggemeier won both her singles and doubles match, including forcing a deciding set in singles. The Lions will face Post University on Tuesday (Sept. 20) before competing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Region Tournament to end the week. |

Queens: The Knights went 2-0 on the week shutting down Daemen and D'Youville to open ECC Play. Queens will now enter the ITA East Regional Tournament beginning on Thursday (9/22) morning at the USTA National Tennis Center. |
