ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Maja Makal, Queens (Senior - Bialystok, Poland)
Makal went 2-0 on the week, earning victories at No 1 singles and doubles over Molloy. The senior took home a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles with partner Saga Berggren before earning a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles over Camilla Caballero to help Queens move to 2-0 in ECC play.
Laura Marie, District of Columbia (Senior - Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, France)
Marie went 3-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles to lead her team to a 3-0 week with wins over Frostburg State, 5-2, Daemen, 5-2, and D'Youville, 7-0.
Kitsa Scime, Daemen (Junior - Williamsville, N.Y.)
Scime went undefeated during a 5-2 loss to UDC. The Daemen junior recorded her fifth-straight singles victory and improved to 9-2 on the year following a 6-4, 6-3 win over Polina Zelentsova. She also teamed up with Frida Rubio to post a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, which improved her doubles record to 7-4.
Samanta Villegas Robles, St. Thomas Aquinas (Senior - Leon, Mexico)
Villegas Robles helped the Spartans to a 7-0 shutout victory over Molloy with a 6-1 No. 1 doubles victory with partner Ebba Rosberg against Noor Goyvaerts and Alice Fartushynska. She then stepped up to play No. 1 singles and took down Camilla Caballero, 6-2, 6-0.
