ECC Women's Soccer Report - Week Two

Offensive Player of the Week
Isabella Radovini, Staten Island (Junior - Forward, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada)
The conference’s leader in goals (4) and points (9), Radovini hit the back of the net three times in two matches last week. The junior forward scored twice in under three minutes (15’, 18’) to open up what would be a dominant 3-0 win over Felician and scored in the 12th minute in CSI’s 1-1 draw with Texas A&M International.

Defensive Player of the Week
Sara Villacres, Staten Island (Junior - Goalkeeper, Richmond Hill, N.Y.)
Villacres posted a clean sheet behind four saves in Staten Island’s win over Felician and saved another six shots in a 1-1 draw against Texas A&M International. Across her two outings last week, the junior goalkeeper saved 10 of the 11 shots she faced for a .909 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Lluvy Lewis, Queens (Freshman - Defender, Valley Stream, N.Y.)
Lewis factored into both scoring plays in Queens’ 2-1 win over regionally-ranked #4 Jefferson. The freshman defender beat Jefferson goalkeeper Liv Riddel to the upper-left corner with a shot from 17 yards out in the 27th minute before assisting on the match-winning goal in the 87th minute. 


ECC Weekly Honor Roll

Kamy Anaya, Mercy (Sophomore - Goalkeeper, Long Beach, Calif.)
Anaya made three saves in the full 90:00 to earn a 2-0 shutout win over Dominican. 

Erin Kelly, Queens (Graduate Student - Goalkeeper, Massapequa, N.Y.)
Kelly helped the Knights defeat regionally-ranked #4 Jefferson by making four saves in net, including three stops in the final five minutes of play.

Caitlin Kennedy, Molloy (Graduate Student - Forward, Manhasset, N.Y.)
Kennedy scored both goals in Molloy's 2-0 win over Caldwell. 

Julia Ragone, Queens (Junior - Forward/Midfielder, Centereach, N.Y.)
Ragone tallied the match-winning goal - a blast from the top of the 18-yard box into the upper-left corner - in the 87th minute to defeat regionally-ranked #4 Jefferson.
