Player of the Week Karsyn Eaton, Molloy (Sr, IF - Chino Hills, Calif.)
Eaton was the Lions' top hitter to open the season, recording a hit in seven of eight of the squad's opening contests and holding a .421 batting average at the plate. The senior drove in three runs on eight hits and one double.
Pitcher of the Week Brianna Macias, Molloy (So, P - Downey, Calif.)
Macias led the Lions with a 2-0 record through 17.2 innings pitched in her debut with Molloy. The pitcher sat down seven batters and allowed just three runs on 13 hits, throwing two complete games. At the plate, the junior also recorded her first collegiate hit, going 1-for-1 in her plate appearance against Saint Anselm.
Rookie of the Week Cayla Crawford, Mercy (Fr, C - Hemet, Calif.)
Crawford went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in a doubleheader against Saint Anselm on Sunday.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Mikayla Bush, D'Youville (Jr, IF - Elmira Heights, N.Y.) Bush hit .412 over the Saints' first four games of the season, smacking seven hits in 17 at-bats. She hit one double, scored four runs, and also drove in four to begin the 2023 campaign.
Amanda King, Molloy (Sr, P/UTL - Guilford, N.Y.)
King tossed two complete games for Molloy, totaling 15 innings of work. She struck out 13 batters on the week, including a career-high eight against Southern New Hampshire, and ended the week with a 1-2 record. At the plate, the graduate student drove in one run on two hits with four walks.
Sarah Parzych, D'Youville (So, P - Getzville, N.Y.) Parzych went 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA over three appearances and 11.2 innings to start the season. She picked up a complete game victory with nine strikeouts in a win over Converse in her first outing of the season.
Shannon Sisco, Mercy (Jr, OF - Cicero, N.Y.) Sisco hit a team-high .400 (8-for-20) with three runs, three doubles, two stolen bases, and an RBI. The junior opened the week going 2-for-7 with two doubles, an RBI, and a run against Alderson Broaddus on Friday. The outfielder then went 4-for-6 with a run and a stolen base against Bentley on Saturday. Sisco ended the week going 2-for-7 with a run and a stolen base against Saint Anselm on Sunday.

Mercy: The Mercy College softball team went 1-3 on the week with a win over Tusculum and losses to Bloomsburg and Francis Marion. The Mavericks were led by senior Ariana Ricci who had a team-high four RBI. Mercy resumes action on March 4th at Mount Olive.
Molloy: Molloy opened the season 0-4 with two losses to both Newberry College and Georgia Southwestern State University. The Lions will return to action in March at The Spring Games, beginning with a doubleheader against American International (Mar. 12) at 2:30 p.m.
Queens: The Knights get the season going on Saturday as Franklin Pierce comes to town for a four-game series.

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball team opens its 2023 schedule on March 7 (1:00 p.m./3:00 p.m.) against Post at Spartan Field.
