Washington, D.C. – The UDC Women's
Volleyball Team is excited to announce the Second Annual Women's
Volleyball Youth Day on Saturday, October 8th.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday, October 8th (Located in the UDC
Gym in the Sports Complex at 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW)
11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Free Volleyball
Youth Clinic for boys and girls ages 8-18. Drills and
instruction led by UDC Head Coach Sheila Weaver and the UDC
Volleyball Team.
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm: Pregame Autograph
Session with UDC Women's Volleyball Team. Observe Team
Warm-ups with Fun Music. Snack bar open with pizza, soft
drinks, and snacks for sale. Photo opportunities with the UDC
Firebird Mascot
2:00 pm: UDC Women's Volleyball vs. NYIT
The clinic is open to boys and girls between the ages
of 8-18. We ask that you rsvp ahead of time with names and
ages to mrienzo@udc.edu so that we can plan
appropriately.
UDC Head Coach Sheila Weaver had this to say about the Youth Day,
"We look forward to having some of the young athletes from the
community out to UDC for the Youth Day. We have some great
activities planned, and it should be a really fun day for
everyone! We look forward to connecting with some of our fans
and hopefully ending the day with a win. We hope that anyone
who is interested will spread the word and bring a friend
along."
