Flushing, N.Y. - University of the District of Columbia's Simoné Pärn (Pärnu, Estonia) was honored as the East Coast Conference Elite 19 Award winner for the sport of women's tennis prior to Friday's East Coast Conference Championship semifinal match. The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships.
Pärn is a junior Biology major with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Earlier today, Pärn was also honored as an ECC All-Conference First Team selection after compiling a 10-4 record in singles for the Firebirds this fall.
