Grand Lake, Colo. - Ten women's lacrosse
student-athletes from the East Coast Conference have been named to
the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-North
Region teams. Eight earned First Team honors, while an additional
two were named to the Second Team.
The LIU Post Pioneers led the way with six selections. Five were
first team selections including ECC Player of the Year, Jackie
Sileo, ECC Goalkeeper of the Year, Katie Hannan, and ECC
Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Melissa Rohr, as well as
Samantha Losco and Katie Rotan. The Pioneers lone Second Team
selection was Jenna Pierro.
ECC Champion, Dowling College, was next with three selections, all
of which were on the First Team. The Most Outstanding Player of the
ECC Championship, Jackie Andersen, was joined by the ECC
Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Samantha Stavish, and Emma
Ferreira on the First Team.
Rounding out the ECC representation on the teams is St. Thomas
Aquinas' Margaret Sharp who earned a spot on the Second Team.
