Grand Lake, Colo. - Eleven women’s
lacrosse student-athletes from the East Coast Conference have been
named to the 2012 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches
Association All-Region Teams.
The C.W. Post Pioneers led the way with five selections. All five
were members of the First Team and the only ECC players to earn
that distinction. ECC Player of the Year Jackie Sileo, ECC
Goalkeeper of the Year Dominique Mosca, and ECC Defensive Player of
the Year Chelsea Donaldson, were joined by teammates Ashley Olen
and Lauren Spagnoletta on the First Team.
ECC Champion, Dowling College, was next with three selections. ECC
Rookie of the Year, Jackie Andersen, as well as Samantha Stavish
and Brooke Witkowski were Second Team honorees.
Queens College also placed two student-athletes, Sarah Boucher and
Heather Rosen, on the Second Team. This marks the first time in the
program’s three year history that a Queens player was
included on the All-Region squad.
Danielle Clesi of Molloy College rounds out the ECC
representation.
