Central Islip, N.Y. - Winslow Dorsainvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) of St. Thomas Aquinas and Simone Grant (Bronx, N.Y.) of University of the District of Columbia have earned the honor of East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Year, as voted on by the conference's coaches.

Dorsainvil wins the honor after ranking among the East Region's best in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. Currently he ranks first in the East Region with a top time of 10.68 seconds in the 100 meter and second with a mark of 21.94 seconds in the 200 meter dash. Dorsainvil also is a member of St. Thomas Aquinas' 4 x 100 team that is ranked fourth in the East with a time of 42.94 seconds. On the season, Dorsainvil has come in no lower than fifth in the 100 meter dash, including wins at the Oscar Moore Track and Field Open and the ECC Championship.

Dorsainvil has also been named the Most Outstanding Athlete of the ECC Championship Meet on the men's side after winning both the 100 meter (10.52) and 200 meter dash (21.94). He also helped the Spartans' 4 x 100 meter relay team to a first place showing in a time of 43.06.

Grant takes home the Women's Athlete of the Year honor after ranking in the top eight in the East Region in six different events. Her highest ranking comes in 100 meter dash (12.18), 200 meter dash (24.94), and 4 x 100 meter relay (48.78), where she ranks third in all three.
