Brookville, N.Y. - In their first elimination game of the day, the Dowling Golden Lions exploded out of the gates, batting around for ten runs in the first inning.  Dowling loaded the bases without producing a hit and junior Jamie Laird blasted a grand slam for a 4-0 DC lead.  An RBI single from Samantha Laird knocked in Victoria Gallagher who doubled just one batter before.  Again, the Golden Lions did not need a hit to load the bases and a fielder's choice from Arianna LaPuma followed by a RBI singles from Erica Fischetti and Laird and a two-RBI double from Crystal Tarango finished out the inning.

After Queens stranded two runners in the top of the fourth, the Golden Lions added six in the bottom half of the inning highlighted by a three run homerun from J. Laird to put Dowling ahead 19-1.
