Bridgeport, Conn. - The University of Bridgeport softball team will have a new home during the 2012 season as the Purple Knights will play all of their home games at Frank DeLuca Hall of Fame Field in Stratford, Connecticut, the home of the legendary Brakettes teams.
"We are really looking forward to playing our home games at a great facility like DeLuca Field," said University of Bridgeport head softball coach Dawn Stearns. "I know our players are excited, and it will be a real boost to help keep our program on the rise."
Located at 1000 Main Street in Stratford, Connecticut, Frank DeLuca Hall of Fame Field is a state-of-the-art softball facility. Seating capacity is now 1,800.
