Bracket Set for ECC Men's Soccer Championship

West Babylon, N.Y. – Four teams will compete for an East Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Championship and the automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Championship that comes with it beginning on Thursday.

Molloy is the No. 1 seed after winning the program’s first-ever ECC Regular Season Champion with a record of 8-4-6 (6-0-2 ECC). The Lions, who are the defending ECC Champions, are back in the bracket for the third straight season.

No. 4 Roberts Wesleyan (7-4-5, 3-1-4 ECC) will be Molloy’s semifinal opponent. The Redhawks, who have never won an ECC title, are back in the championship for the second time ever and the first since 2019.

In the regular season meeting between the two schools, Molloy and Roberts battled to a 1-1 tie.

The other semifinal will feature No. 2 Queens and No. 3 Mercy. Queens (13-5-0, 6-2-0 ECC) earns their first ECC Championship berth since the 2018 season and for the first time in program history, the Knights will host a tournament match.

Mercy (11-2-4, 4-1-3 ECC) is back in the bracket for the first time since the 2019 season when they won their fourth ECC title. The Mavericks also come into the tournament ranked No. 14 in the country in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 poll,  

Mercy was victorious in the regular season matchup between the two schools, winning 3-1 on September 21.

The semifinals of the tournament will be hosted by the top two seeds and the final will be hosted by the highest remaining seed. Tournament action begins with the semifinals on Thursday, November 3, and will conclude with the final on Sunday, November 6.

Tickets for each game of the championship can be purchased in advance at www.eccsports.org/tickets. Ticket prices will be $8 for general admission and $4 for senior citizens, students, and children ages 2-5. Children under two will be admitted for free.

General admission ticket prices will increase to $10 beginning at midnight on the day of the game. In addition, cash will not be accepted so walkup tickets at the venue still must be purchased through the ECC website (QR code will be available at the gate).

For those not in attendance, all three matches of the championship will be broadcast on the ECC Network.
