Perry, N.Y. - Five East Coast Conference men's
lacrosse teams were listed on the United States Intercollegiate
Lacrosse Association's Division II Preseason Poll released on
Monday afternoon.
Defending ECC Champion, LIU Post, is the first conference member in
the poll, coming in at No. 4. The Pioneers, who were also NCAA
Tournament participants in 2013, finished last season with a 11-3
record.
Fresh off a season that saw them advance to the NCAA Tournament and
finish with a 12-3 mark, NYIT is the next ECC member in the poll.
The Bears begin the season in the No. 6 spot.
Dowling, who followed winning the National Championship in 2012
with somewhat of a down season in 2013 (7-6 overall record), begins
the year in the No. 10 position in the poll.
Molloy, who finished 10-4 in 2013, and Chestnut Hill, who posted
their first ever winning record in ECC play a season ago, also
start off the year ranked, coming in at No. 12 and No. 15
respectively.
The ECC tops all Division II conferences with five
representatives in the poll. The next closest are the Northeast 10
