Perry, N.Y. – Four East Coast Conference
men’s lacrosse squads continue to be ranked in the USILA
Coaches Poll.
Dowling and NYIT are the highest ranked ECC squads in a tie at the
No. 5 spot. Both teams move up in the rankings despite different
results a week ago.
Dowling jumped two spots after posting a 2-0 mark last week. The
Golden Lions defeated Southern New Hampshire and Assumption to move
to 3-1 on the season.
NYIT split a pair of games last week and still moved up one spot
despite the loss. The Bears started the week with an 8-5 victory at
St. Anselm, but dropped to 3-1 on the year by falling 11-9 at
Adelphi who is now ranked No. 4.
Next up is LIU Post at No. 8. The Pioneers moved up one spot
despite being idle last week when a scheduled contest with Bentley
was postponed due to inclement weather.
The last ECC team in the poll is Molloy at No. 12. The Lions hold
steady in the No. 12 spot after coming away victorious in their
only contest last week, defeating St. Anselm 13-5.
