Brookhaven, N.Y. – On Monday, October 11, the Dowling Men's Lacrosse team will host their 5th Annual Columbus Day Lax Clash Youth Tournament at Golden Lions Field. Dowling is reaching out to the local youth lacrosse teams of Suffolk and Nassau County to participate in the Tournament. Not only will there be fun for all age groups at the event, but all proceeds will go to benefit the Dowling Lacrosse team for their travel expenses and equipment costs this upcoming season.
Dowling has invited local youth teams from 4th to 8th grade to participate in this one-day Tournament. The youth teams will play each other according to their grade level and a winner will be found at the end for each group. The matches will be supervised and coached by the Golden Lions and the coaching staff.
“This event is not only great for the local teams coming
out to play, but also for the sport of lacrosse in general.”
said Dowling Lacrosse coach Tim Boyle, who started the Columbus Day
Tournament.
The Tournament will held at Golden Lions Field in Brookhaven, NY
and family, friends and relatives of the participants are welcome
to celebrate Columbus Day with the Golden Lions!
