Notes from the Coach + Match Breakdown

"Lijiang Tower - Lijiang began on Night Market, with an incredibly close round. SNHU's poke composition was forced to play slowly into Molloy's Brawl composition. Molloy's 70% start was chipped at once SNHU retook the point, concluding in a desperate OT fight where Kresnik and Prince took on a 2v4 to swing it back in SNHU's favor. Afterwards, Control Center leaned more in SNHU's favor, with Pepto's Pharah, pocketed by Prince's Mercy, remaining relatively uncontested on high ground.

King's Row - Another explosive start for SNHU, the cart did not stop until the third point, set up by flank plays and strong Tank play from Palzee. At the final point on SNHU's attack, BearingMetro was able to lead the charge to stall things out for two more minutes, before a Dragonstrike from Pepto split Molloy and finished the offense. Molloy's offense started in similar fashion, with a 4-man Biotic Nade from Pinecone setting up an immediate wipe. One stalled fight on second, with the Ashe-Cassidy lineup from Molloy allowing long fights to go in their favor, allowed Molloy to make it to the final point. SNHU held strong near the end, finishing the map just 4 meters from the finish line, going up 2-0.

Volskaya Industries - DarkHybrid's Ashe, starting on Defense for Molloy, was initially difficult for SNHU to overcome, stalling Rhino and Pepto's Ball-Tracer combination from finding value initially. After a minute and a half of delay, Kresnik's Widowmaker found a pick on the Ashe as Rhino slammed the backline, quickly giving up that first point to SNHU. The second point was quickly converted after, as OneTrick on Ana slept DarkHybrid's BOB, mitigating value on the contest. SNHU's defense was ironclad, with BSOE on Zenyatta relatively uncontested in the backline outputting damage onto the Hog-D.Va tankline fielded by Molloy. Molloy quickly swapped to a Pharah Mercy combination to abuse SNHU's lack of hitscan, but enough cover exists around the point that Willman's Pharah could not find enough pressure before SNHU was able to engage. SNHU closed the Finals out here 3-0."
