Molloy's Wildeman Named to National SAAC

Indianapolis, Ind. – Junior Billy Wildeman of the Molloy baseball team was named to the National Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

"I am extremely honored to be representing the East Coast Conference as well as Molloy College on the national level," Wildeman said. "This is an amazing opportunity to provide a voice for student-athletes. I am excited to work with like-minded student-athletes from around the country."

Wildeman is one of 28 student-athletes on National SAAC. Together the members discuss important issues on college campuses, serves as the voice for student-athletes at NCAA events, and are responsible for helping Division II with its fundraising initiatives.

"It's an honor to have a Molloy student-athlete represent the East Coast Conference at the national level," Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development/Senior Woman Administrator/ SAAC Coordinator, Briana Falese, said. Billy has already shown us that he is a skilled leader on our campus and is the embodiment of a well-rounded Division II student-athlete. I'm confident that he will assume his role in National SAAC with professionalism and make Molloy and the ECC proud. We are looking forward to Billy having a positive impact on his peers at both the campus and national levels and are excited to watch him grow in this capacity."

The junior is the third Lion to be selected to National SAAC joining current assistant baseball coach John Galanoudis and Peter Vath, who was also a member of the Molloy baseball team.

With his appointment to the Division II National SAAC, Wildeman also becomes the President of the East Coast Conference SAAC.
