Austin, Texas - Matt Kostalos of St. Thomas Aquinas and Bridgeport's Alnaydo Rodriguez, have earned spots on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II All-America Team.
Kostalos, the East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year, earns Second Team honors after an oustanding season on the hill in 2016. The senior right-hander led the ECC with a perfect 8-0 record and a 1.46 earned run average over 98.2 innings pitched. He was also tops in the league with 108 strikeouts.
Rodriguez, who was an All-ECC First Team pick at designated hitter, earns a spot on the Honorable Mention list. He led the ECC with 10 homeruns, 41 runs batted in, and a .590 slugging percentage on the season, while also compiling a .325 batting average.
