ECC Pitcher of the Year, Jake DeCarli of LIU Post, has been named an Honorable Mention All-American on both the Daktronics/DII CCA and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) lists.
DeCarli was lights out on the hill for the Pioneers in 2015, finishing with a 6-1 record and a 0.76 earned run average. He allowed only 35 hits over 71.0 innings for a stingy .148 batting average against and also struck out 60 hitters. He also ranked in the top-five in Division II in numerous categories. His ERA ranked fourth while his hits allowed per nine innings (4.44) and walks and hits allowed per inning pitched (0.8) ranked second and third, respectively.
