INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After recently being
named Treasurer of the East Coast Conference Student-Athlete
Advisory Committee in October, Molloy College sophomore baseball
player John Galanoudis (Farmingdale, N.Y.) has continued to impress
with his leadership skills, and has thus been named to the NCAA
Division II National SAAC. His term of service will commence
immediately.
Galanoudis is one of 29 representatives on the Division II roster,
and is the sole student-athlete to stand from the East Coast
Conference. The committee is comprised of one representative from
the 23 Division II member conferences, plus one person from each of
the independent institutions and two at-large representatives. Two
members from the Division II Management Council and one from the
President’s Council are also included. Members of the
National SAAC serve as a connection between events occurring on the
campus, conference, and national levels.
As the East Coast Conference’s delegate for the Division II
National SAAC, Galanoudis will be responsible for gathering
feedback from the ECC and its institutions and reporting back to
the National SAAC. He will also be in charge of relaying important
topics and events between the NCAA and the individual campuses.
