ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Amanda Baez, Queens ((So, OF - Selden, N.Y.)
Over three games played Baez batted .556 with five hits, two doubles, one run scored, and earned one walk. The sophomore recorded two multi-hit games on the week, totaling seven total bases with two extra-base hits.
Carissa Della Vecchia, St. Thomas Aquinas (Gr, P - Wappingers Falls, N.Y.)
Della Vecchia hit .600 in two games last week for the Spartans, with three hits in five at-bats. The pitcher/designated player recorded a home run, while driving in one and scoring twice.
Nicole Smart, Mercy (Sr, 2B - Santa Clarita, Calif.)
Smart hit a team-best .714 (5-for-7) with two runs, two doubles, and an RBI in the Mavericks sweep of Staten Island on Thursday.
Emma Zumpol, Queens (So, SS - Patchogue, N.Y.)
Zumpol recorded four hits and three RBI, earning two walks and one run scored. The sophomore went 1-for-1 with an RBI and two runs as the Knights defeated Molloy 3-2 on senior day.

Mercy: The Mercy College softball team went 2-0 on the week with wins over Staten Island. The Mavericks were led by senior Nicole Smart who hit a team-high .714 on the week. Mercy resumes action on Wednesday when they play at STAC in an ECC Championship matchup at 3:30 p.m. |

Queens: Softball went 1-3 on the week falling three tough against before earning an ECC DH split against Molloy on senior day. Junior Dyana Budakowski (Washingtonville, N.Y.) pitched four shutout innings of relief in the game-two victory over Molloy. The Knights conclude the regular season against STAC on Monday on the road before preparing for the ECC Softball Championship. Queens is making their first appearance in postseason play for the first time since the 2015 season. |

Staten Island: The Dolphins wrapped up their season this week with a conference doubleheader against Mercy. Despite three hits from Anissa Acosta, the Dolphins fell to the Mavericks in both games, 7-2 and 6-3. |

St. Thomas Aquinas: The St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball team (26-16, 13-5 ECC) went 2-1 last week, taking two of three from Molloy (2-1 & 7-6). STAC closed the 2023 Regular Season with an ECC doubleheader against Queens on May 1, before hosting Mercy on May 3 in the opening round of the ECC Tournament. |
