Player of the Week Kendall Conrad, Queens (Sophomore - Outside Hitter, Carrolltown, Pa.) In the Knights 4-0 week, Conrad recorded 49 kills, averaging 2.88 kills per set, with 33 digs, nine service aces, and eight blocks. In the Wildcat Regional Invitational, the sophomore outside hitter led the offense with 12 kills, seven digs, a career-high four block assists, and two service aces in the victory. Against Wilmington, Conrad recorded her second double-double of the year with a match-and-team-tying 14 kills to go with a career-highs with 15 digs and five service aces. She would cap the week off with 11 kills and five digs as she tallied her seventh straight game double-digit kills in the 3-2 victory over Jefferson.
Defensive Player of the Week Sarah Munn, Queens (Sophomore - Libero, Torrance, Calif.) Munn tallied 75 digs, 20 assists, and four service aces in the Knights' 4-0 week. The sophomore libero would tally two near double-doubles with 17 digs and six assists in the 3-1 victory over Caldwell before adding 14 digs and eight assists in the 3-1 victory over Holy Family. Against Wilmington and Jefferson, Munn matched her career-high performance on back-to-back occasions with 22 digs in the two victories.
Setter of the Week Despina Boudouris, Queens (Junior - Setter, Athens, Greece) In the Knights' 4-0 week, junior setter Despina Boudouris recorded 149 assists, 41 digs, nine kills, and four service aces to earn her second consecutive ECC Setter of the Week honors. She would tally three double-doubles in the Wildcat Regional Invitational, including two 40-plus assist matches to end the weekend. Against Wilmington, the junior recorded a season-high 48 assists to go with 12 digs and two service aces as Queens earned a 3-1 victory. In the 3-2 comeback victory over Jefferson, she would nearly match her first-game performance, recording 47 assists and to go with a season-high 15 digs. The 48- and 47-dig performances are Boudouris's sixth and seventh of her career.
Rookie of the Week Charlotte Koerber, Daemen (Freshman - Outside Hitter, Munich, Germany) Koerber earned All-Tournament team honors after finishing with 25 kills (3.57 kills per set) and 21 digs (3.0 digs per set) and a .265 hitting percentage over two matches. The freshman outside hitter recorded double-doubles in both matches that she played in and helped the Wildcats to a perfect 3-0 record at the Wildcat Den Classic. Koerber added two aces and three blocks on the weekend.
ECC Weekly Honor Roll
Jasmine Brundage, Daemen (Senior - Libero, East Aurora, N.Y.) Brundage totaled 50 digs (7.14 digs per set) over two matches and helped the Wildcats to a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Wildcat Den Classic. Brundage scooped up a season-high 27 digs in Saturday's 3-1 tournament finale win against Ohio Dominican.
Christina Franco, Queens (Junior - Outside Hitter, Lynbrook, N.Y.) Franco notched 38 kills, 56 digs, eight assists, four blocks, and three service aces on Queens' 4-0 weekend. In the 3-1 victory over Wilmington, Franco recorded her first double-double of the year with a season-high of 13 kills and 19 digs. In the Knights' 3-2 comeback victory against Jefferson, Franco recorded her second straight double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.
Giselle Giraud, Daemen (Senior - Outside Hitter/Right Side, Orlando, Fla.) Giraud was named the Wildcat Den Classic MVP after totaling 30 kills (3.75 kills per set) for a .473 hitting percentage as the Wildcats swept the competition at their home tournament. Giraud posted a season-high 15 kills with just two errors on 24 attacks for a .542 hitting percentage in Friday night's 3-0 win over California (Pa.). The senior outside recorded her fourth double-digit kill performance on Saturday in the tournament finale, finishing with 13 kills (3.25 kills/set) for a .440 percentage. She added six digs and four total blocks over the weekend.
Dunja Masic, Daemen (Senior - Setter, McHenry, Ill.) Masic started in two of the three matches of the weekend, totaling 60 assists (7.50 assists per set). Earning the brunt of the dual-setter work at the Wildcat Den Classic this weekend, Masic posted 30 assists (10 assists per set) against California (Pa.) on Friday night. She finished with nine digs, three aces and one kill in Daemen's 3-0 weekend at the tournament.
Caleigh Schroeder, Roberts Wesleyan (Sophomore - Setter, Maplewood, Minn.) Schroeder totaled 141 assists, averaging 8.81 assists per set and totaling 40-plus assists twice, and 56 digs over four matches.
