
Pomona, N.Y. - Gregory DiGiaro continued his torrid hitting on Friday evening, belting a pair of homers, while driving in three runs, as the St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team closed the home-portion of its 2023 Regular Season schedule by beating Queens College, 6-5 at Clover Stadium.
The victory moved the Spartans back to the .500 mark at 23-23 overall, while they improved to 16-6 within the ECC. Meanwhile, Queens falls to 27-16 and 11-9.
DiGiaro, has been on a absolute tear in the batter's box to start the month of May. In four games just this week, the senior first baseman from Staten Island, N.Y., is hitting .625 (10-for-16), with five home runs, and two doubles. He has also driven in 18 runs and scored nine times. On the season (to date), Greg is batting .303, with both an ECC and team-leading 11 homers, while also recording 10 doubles, a triple, 51 RBIs and 39 runs scored in 44 contests.
