THE ROCKHILL REPORT
"People may look at the final score of 5-2 and think that this was an easy match for us today", said Coach Dan Rockhill.  "Make no mistake, this one was close throughout as Queens fought extremely hard in all nine matches. A few key points likely decided the outcome in our favor."

"We have been working hard in practice on making good choices, especially in doubles, so I am pleased that we were not afraid to take chances in big moments.  I am happy for Eliza as her willingness to take a risk in the tiebreaker at third doubles really set the tone for our win today.  I am also happy for Ebba who clinched the match with her win over the ECC preseason player of the year. Ebba has been doing extra work so as to master her craft, so it was nice to see that pay off."

"It's also a really good sign for the team that we were able to go into Queens, under some difficult circumstances, and beat a talented team that forced us to earn our points.", remarked Rockhill.

"Our team importantly understands that this match is only the beginning and that we have a lot of work to do going forward."
