UDC Men's Tennis Falls to Salem in Closely Contested Match Up

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team fell to Salem University 1-6, Saturday afternoon at the UDC Tennis Courts. 
 
Louis Mangeon went 2-0 on the day winning at the No.1 position in both doubles and singles play. 
 
The duo of Mangeon and Mauricio Corty took the first doubles win at No.1, but the firebirds lost the doubles point after the Tigers won at No.2 and 3.
 
Mangeon picked up the first singles win, blanking his opponent 6-0 in the first set and winning 6-2 in the second. Antonio Simo Durall and Juan Estevez Hernandez eached dropped thier first sets, before forcing a tiebreaker. Durall lost his tiebreaker 1-6, and Henandez lost his 7-5. 
 
Up Next, UDC (4-11, 1-3 ECC) welcomes Virginia State at home next Friday (April 14th) at 2:00 pm.
