ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.- The University of the District of Columbia's women's lacrosse team fell to Molloy University, 1-20, Saturday afternoon at the RVC Sports Complex. The Firebirds fell to 0-2 in conference play, while the Lions improved to 2-0.
Desiree Gaeckler forced a game-high four caused turnovers and Jada Williams scored the Firebirds lone goal of the day. Natalia Perkins made a game-high 11 saves.
UDC struggled with turnovers (25), and clearing the ball (4-18). Molloy outshot them 41-3 and won more draw controls 18-6.
Up Next, UDC (1-7, 0-2 ECC) is back at hoe next Friday (31st) as they Welcome Daemen University for the first tie ever. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
