UDC Men's Lacrosse Falls to Chestnut Hill

WASHINGTON, DC- The University of the District of Columbia's men's lacrosse team fell to Chesnut Hill 2-17, Saturday afternoon at the Georgetown Day school.

Ignacio Pericet and Keino Thompson each forced a game-high three turnovers. Julian Schemm and Dylan Donaldson were responsible for the Firebirds two goals scoring one a piece. Najee Wilson made a game-high 20 saves and Carnell Lofton Jr. picked up a game-high 14 groundballs.

The Firebird defense was able to hold the Griffins to 17 points, (the least amount of goals conceded so far this season), but the UDC offense struggled with Chestnut Hill outshooting them 52-19. The home team was held scoreless in the first and second quarters as the visitors were on a 9-0 run. Donaldson scored the first goal for the Firebirds late in the third quarter and Schemm netted the other with 6:25 remaining in regulation. 

Up Next, UDC (0-4, 0-0 ECC) welcomes Frostburg State in their conference opener, next Saturday (25th) at noon.
