
DOMINICAN CLOSES OUT REGINA RIVERA TOURNAMENT WITH A VICTORY OVER MOLLOY UNIVERSITY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/20/22) The Dominican University New York women’s basketball team closed out the 9th Annual Regina Rivera Tournament with a victory over the Lions of Molloy University this afternoon.

The Lady Chargers completed the 70-64 victory to improve to 3-2 overall on the season.
The leading scorer for the Lady Chargers was Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) who scored 19 points and finished with five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) provided 13 points off the bench including three 3-point field goals.
Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) added 10 points and a team-high nine assists. Chidinma Ndukauba (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished with 11 points and nine boards. Elle Nittinger (Waverly, N.Y.) added a team-high 12 rebounds.
Dominican held a 14-9 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Lions used a strong second quarter by outscoring the Lady Chargers 26-18 and held a 35-32 lead by halftime.
Dominican outscored the Lions 18-15 in the third quarter and both teams started the fourth quarter tied 50-50.
Dominican opened the fourth quarter on a 16-6 run to jump out to a ten point lead over Molloy and completed the 70-64 victory.
The Lions were led by Trinity Hudson who scored 22 points and recorded 15 rebounds to complete a double-double. Casey Campo added 12 points off the bench. Samantha Muller added eight points and seven rebounds while Gianni Domond recorded eight boards.
Dominican returns to action on the road this Tuesday, November 22nd when they travel to Southern Connecticut State University for a non-conference matchup with the Owls at 7:00 PM.
