ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's volleyball team picked up their third win of the season at Roberts Wesleyan Wednesday night in a close 3-2 matchup. The team improves to 3-6 on the season with a full weekend of play ahead.
 
The Golden Eagles commanded the stats in all 6 categories, including the largest margin in aces where they outperformed the Redhawks 20-3. The first two sets were a quick victory for the Green and Gold, dominating 25-14 in the first and 25-16 in the second to give the team a solid 2-0 lead. The Golden Eagles posted 23 kills between the first two sets, seven of which were provided by sophomore Andrea Coyle.
 
The Redhawks picked up some momentum off of a few key possessions, allowing them to comeback to take the third and fourth set. The Golden Eagles didn't allow the streak to continue as they took the fifth set by storm, outscoring the Redhawks 11-0 to start the set. The Golden Eagles found a powerhouse duo in Lindsey Luce and Kerri McHale in set five. Luce made her presence known in front of the net, posting four kills in the scoring run, with an additional kill right before the team sealed the deal, finishing the night with 15 total. McHale recorded three service aces in the fifth set and accounted for six on the night in conjunction with 30 assists and 10 digs.
 
Luce and Coyle were the top scorers for the Golden Eagles, accounting for 28 of the teams 75 points.  
 
The Green and Gold pick things right back up on Friday for day one of the Brockport Invite, where they will open up against the University of Rochester at 6:30 p.m.
