
Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team wrapped up the home portion of its inaugural season, falling 3-1 to Roberts Wesleyan University on Saturday at Aquinas Hall.
STAC moves to 4-14 overall and 1-10 in the ECC, while Roberts Wesleyan improves to 8-13 and 4-7.

How it Happened
The Spartans recorded double-digit kills in three of four sets (12-10-14-8) with the Redhawks for a .148 attack percentage on the afternoon.
Junior right side Jaizahir Marrero-George (Carolina, Puerto Rico) paced the Spartans offense with 13 kills, while freshman middle blocker Lorielys Ruiz (Camuy, Puerto Rico) and freshman Alana Rider (Hyde Park, N.Y.) had nine apiece.
George also registered nine digs and two block assists, with Ruiz picking up 11 digs and two service aces.
Junior libero/defensive specialist Aurivette Santos Bonilla (Villalba, Puerto Rico) recorded three services aces and eight digs in the match.
Junior Lea Venghaus (Muenster, Germany) tallied 36 assists (9.0 assists/set) and nine digs (2.25 digs/set).
Freshman middle hitter Lauren Fields (Tampa, Fla.) played solid defense, registering a solo block and two block assists, which accounted for two of STAC's three total blocks.
Freshman middle hitter/right side Elizabeth Salmon (San Marcos, Texas) tallied a pair of services aces, while freshman defensive specialist/libero Allison Salinas (Glen Cove, N.Y.) recorded seven digs.
