Firebirds Conclude Regular Season Against the Spartans
BOYDS, MD- The University of the District of Columbia's men's tennis team concluded their season with a 1-6 loss to St Thomas Aquinas College, Saturday afternoon at the Montgomery TennisPlex. The Firebirds fell to 1-4 in conference play, while the Spartans improved to 5-1.
Louis Mangeon went 2-0 on the day, teaming up with Mauricio Corty to take the win at No.1 doubles, and defeating Odysseas Papaioannou for the second time this season at No.1 singles.
The Firebirds did not make it easy for the reigning ECC champions as they forced them to earn every point.
